For 25 years, Daryl and Joy Christensen have been involved in and around this industry.  Our experiences range from starter homes to congregate retirement communities.  Throughout our experience and all during the wide array of housing in which we have been involved, our sense of neighborhood and community has spurred much of the attention given our projects.

Our interest in period architecture started many years ago and for the past 15 years we have researched the technical and aesthetic aspects of traditional building.  Our research has taken us to many parts of the United States to view and discuss developments that have turned toward traditional building.  Also, attending professional conferences such as the Traditional Builders' Conference in Philadelphia in April, '05 and Joy's study of and with nationally known architect Russell Versaci (author of "Creating the New Old House") fuels our desire.

We are active members in the Sioux Falls community.  Our memberships include the Sioux Empire Home Builders and our area Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Better Business Bureau.  Both of us are near the completion of the Certified Graduate Builder designation.  Daryl serves as Vice President of  the State Home Builders Association.  He is a Director on the local Board for the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire and chairs the HBASE Legislative Committee as well as being the State Legislative Chair.  Daryl was also selected to serve on the City Board of Appeals for Sioux Falls.  Joy is actively involved with property management in Sioux Falls, as well.
